PEORIA ~ James E. Patton, 59, of Peoria, passed away Monday June 17, 2013 at Kindred Hospital in Peoria.
Born January 10, 1954 in Peoria to Virgil and Mary (Vaughn) Patton, he married Karen Flynn on August 11, 1979 in Peoria. He later married Diane Davis on February 14, 1997 in Peoria.
Surviving are 2 sons, Brian Patton and Shawn (Bethany) Patton both of Pekin; and his 2 dogs, Lillie and Gootch.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He worked in graphic arts at Technicraft Reproduction Center in Peoria for over 20 years.
He played on the first Limestone American Legion Post# 975 Baseball team. He later coached and managed that team. He played church dartball for over 46 years and was a past president of the dartball league. He was a Limestone Rocket, Pekin Dragon football, and Chicago Cubs,Bears, and Blackhawks fan. He loved to camp and fish.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m., Thursday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be no service. Cremation has been accorded.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
