James "Mike" Michael Roberts

Born March 28, 1947 in Peoria to Hank and Flo Louise (Burgess) Roberts, he married Karen Suzanne Blumenrader on March 5, 1977 in Pekin. She survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Nichole Griffin and Rhawnie Roberts, both of Pekin and Katchya (Matthew) Innis of Bartonville; one son, Carter Sepp of Morton; seven grandchildren, Misha Spencer, Austyn Roberts, Zayne Roberts, Myka Roberts, J. Innis, Maxximus Innis and Juno Innis; one great-grandchild, Kaden Spencer; one brother, Steve (Patti) Roberts of Hanna City; one niece, Tracey and three nephews, Bret, Jared and Mike.

He served with the United States Marine Corps.

Mike retired as a Marketing Representative at CILCO in 1999, after 32 ½ years of service.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was a 32nd degree Mason. He was also a member of Peoria Auxiliary Police, board member and president of the Boys and Girls Club of Pekin, board member of the Manito Chamber of Commerce.

Mike loved to spend time with his family especially his children and grandchildren watching their activities. In his free time he enjoyed shooting and watching NASCAR.

Arrangements have been entrusted with Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.

A gathering celebrating the life of Mike will be held at a later date.
