

Born July 1, 1966 in Peoria to James Allen and Judy C. (Wallace) Weiss, he married Michelle Renee (Wilson) Razo on August 6, 2011 in Springfield.
Surviving are his wife of Carlinville; his mother, Judy Rosenberg of Morton; two daughters, Ashley Weiss of Auburn and Allaina Leischner of Divernon; one sister, Julie (Mat) Bainbridge of East Peoria; one half-brother, Scott (Amanda) Weiss of Washington; two step-sons, Ryan (Nikki) Razo of Sherman and Michael (Nikita) Razo of Linden, NC; and step-father, Daryl Rosenberg of Washington.
His father preceded him in death.
He was a 1985 graduate of East Peoria Community High School in East Peoria.
Jim worked at Burger King in Jacksonville for 7 years as the general manager. Previously, he worked at Hardee’s in Springfield for 17 years in management.
He was involved in BMX over the years serving in many leadership roles including State Commissioner. He was of the Methodist faith.
Jim enjoyed golfing, poker, and fishing. He was a fan of NASCAR, the St. Louis Cardinals, and the Dallas Cowboys.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Sherman United Methodist Church, 2336 East Andrew Road in Sherman. The Rev. Craig Sweet will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and also from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, both at the church. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Springfield.
