

She was born on June 23, 1948, in Peoria, a daughter of James H. and Arvella R. (Kohtz) Cole.
Janet worked for Wilson Manufacturing for 11 years as a Stock Supervisor and Electrical Worker. She was proud to be a licensed hairdresser.
She enjoyed making jewelry, sewing, painting and doing crafts.
Janet is survived by four sons, Steven (Weezy) Louise Boyar of Chillicothe, Donnie (Christine Putney) Stokes of Pekin, Eric (Donna) Stokes of North Pekin and Frank (Jamey) Wesselhoff of Gridley; 20 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; several step-children; several step-grandchildren; three sisters, Maurie Powers of Chillicothe, Christine (Bill) Casey of Tennessee, Shelly (Scott) Genseal of Tennessee and one brother, Gary Harrison of Ramsey.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Lanny Waldrop and Dennis Waldrop Jr.; one sister, Pam Scott; one brother, Ronnie Jorgenson; two grandsons, Joey and Landon.
Her visitation will be on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes and Crematory Pekin Chapel. Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
