She was born January 29, 1950 in Tipton County, Tennessee to Andrew and Edith (Pruitt) Golden.
Surviving are one son, Brice Whiting of Havana; one granddaughter, Taylor Whiting of Havana; one great-grandson, Eli Whiting of Havana; two brothers, Paul Golden and Roger Golden, both of Hillsboro and three sisters, Pauline McLeod of Nokomis, Carolyn Baeser of Bixby, OK and Donna Kovaka of Coffeen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Sammy Golden and one sister, Edith “Faye” Golden.
Janice worked in advertising and sales for the Mason Co. Democrat in Havana for 14 years, retiring in 2014.
Janice loved her flower garden, enjoyed reading and sitting in the back yard watching a beautiful sunset.
No services or visitation are planned. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
