Jason R Chandler

He was born March 31, 1984 in Peoria to Gary Gene and Brenda Kaye (Huston) Chandler.

Surviving are his parents of Pekin; one sister, Shannon O. Smith (and Eric Follis) of Pekin; one brother, Derrick G. Kirkhuff (and Cassandra Brackett) of South Pekin; his maternal grandmother, Doris L. Huston of Salem and his paternal grandfather, Russell E. Chandler (and Sue Tisdale) of North Pekin.

He also leaves four aunts and uncles, Cheryl (and Tom) Knaebel of Peoria, Glenda Voss (and Mike Roberts), William (and Marie) Huston and Melinda Williams (and Mark Doudera, all of Salem and six nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Margie Chandler and his maternal grandfather, William Huston.

A journeyman with Laborer's Local 231 in Pekin, Jason had recently completed his apprenticeship program.

He enjoyed fishing and liked to cook. In earlier years he was a wrestler.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 26, 2006at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. David Taylor will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2006at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
