

She was born in Houston, Texas to Michael Swanson, Sr. and Kristin Cate. They survive.
Also surviving are one brother, Michael (Jade) Swanson Jr. of Peoria; two sisters, Michaela (Jeff) Swanson of Pekin and Jessica Swanson of Peoria; her grandmother, Debbie (Brian Smith) Vogelsang of Mt. Ida, Arkansas; one nephew Michael Swanson III of Peoria and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, James Vogelsang and recently by her paternal grandmother, Betty Wilson of Pekin.
Jazmin was a force of nature who faced illness, pain and adversity with a strength and dignity to be admired. She had recently opted for hospice care after battling with severe Crohn’s disease since the age 5.
She loved cats and the color yellow. She was described as a girly girl who loved makeup and going shopping. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her happy nature and positive outlook on life.
A gathering celebrating Jazmin's life will be held at a later date. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
