I don't know if Jeff's siblings will remember us
or not--we came to visit quite often when you were all young--we were Harry & Ruth Aller. We had 4 children: Judy, John, Joan and Jim--I remember all of you & we had such good times when we came to visit!
My sympathy to the family--which I never had the privilege of meeting.
Jeff was a prince of a man and I know that all of you loved him dearly and will miss him so much, but you would be so thankful to know that he is safe in the care of His Heavenly Father.

Jeff was my closest friend growing up.  We shared a lot of time together.  He always made us laugh, even when times were tough.  Our lives grew apart with years, but my memories have always stayed close.  I know that his faith in Jesus was strong.  His last words to me when I visited were that he would save a place for me with Jesus.  We hugged and shared tears.  I will always hold a place for Jeff in my heart.  God has blessed him.

To grow up in Marquette Heights meant knowing Jeff Eldridge. His antics, humor, nicknames and one-of-a-kind vocabulary became understood(and commonly used) by all who were fortunate enough to know him. For decades, our conversations would begin with " Nnnnnyell-oh....ying, ying, nnnyell-oh. Jordski!...Alright, what's hap-po-nin?" 

  His unique sense of humor not only was enjoyed by all, but also made it impossible not to join in with him. Jeff had a natural ability to make so many people feel like they were his best friend. And he was mine. Jeff is loved and remembered by all who knew him. I have so many fond and hilarious memories to reflect back on. 

  Sherry and I would like to extend our deepest condolences to the entire Eldridge and Willsey families. Our thoughts and prayers have been and continue to be with my buddy, Jeff, his "darlin' Marilyn, Natalie, Cari and Kevin.

Marilyn, Natalie, Cari and Kevin, I share your sorrow and I love you very much.  Ol' Jessie was a wonderful brother.  Even when he was little "Doobie" on Washington Island he made us laugh. He would get out of trouble with Nan by calling her "pretty grandma."  The trips that he and I made to Du Quoin were riots and he always cracked up Uncle Glenn. Jeff grew to be a fine and gentle man who always cared for others.  My sons and daughters loved their uncle very much.  He lived a life of faith. I will miss him, but I know I will see him again.  Brother, you were a gift from God. Judie and I deeply love you.

Dear Ol' Dad,
My heart aches so much and sadness fills my days. You were the best Dad ever!! Your love was infectious and you made my life so much fun. You had a heart of gold and everyone who knew you was blessed to have had that opportunity. I am so thankful I had you for a father. We went all through school together.  It was always so neat to know some one that shared the same birthday 7/20/46.  My sincere sympathy goes out to his entire family in the untimely passing of your beloved Jeff.

We all love Jeff.  Everyone who knew him loved him.  He was a very special guy.  As kids growing up, we laughed, scrapped, teased and fought each other.  Most of all we loved each other.  We played with all the kids in Marquette Heights.  Nicknaming people is a family thing.  We all do it.  Jeff's nick names were a sign of good friendship.  Everyone will remember his big smile and the Twinkle in his eye.  My wife, Yuriko, and I will not be able to attend his service.  But thanks to Willie Wilsey for bringing Jeff out to visit us last year.  We were known as Jim,Bill,Bob,Jeff and Ann.  Say it fast.  That's how Mother would introduce us. Now Jeff has gone to Heaven, but we still are Jim, Bill,Bob,Jeff and Ann.  Bless all the family and friends who knew and loved Jeff. 

To have known so many people,especially the young that have grown up in Marquette Heights Jeff is among the special. His gentle personality,most pleasant smile and kindness was always extended by that friendly wave every time we saw each other,even after I moved a few miles away. So many many will miss him,and I am surely one of those who will keep him in their precious memories.

Jeff was the nicest guy I have ever worked worked with or known.I have never heard one single bad thing said about him by anyone in the nearly 20 years we worked together.That is quite a testimonial of how he lived his life.Doggie was strong as an ox,but his real strength was his spirit and faith.We as his friends,family,and co-workers mourn his passing,also remember that his memory will last forever and his spirit will never die.








I remember Jeff lifting weights in his front yard. He had a nickname for everyone. Although he was stronger than us, he always saw to it that we were never picked on by bullies. Somehow he came up with "prune and prunehopper" for me. My brothers and I are still, to this day, refered to by his nicknames. His sense of humor and kindness will be missed

I remember Jeff as a fun loving boy/young man while we attended Pekin High School.  I have not seen him in many years but remember all the fun times we had in Marquette Heights. 

our hearts and prayers go to the family, he was a good man who always had a smile on his face that lit up the room. He will be missed.
