Jenifer A Benedict

PEKIN ~ Jenifer Ann Benedict, 32, of Pekin, passed away at 1:13 p.m. Saturday October 8, 2011 at Pekin Hospital.

She was born August 21, 1979 in Peoria to Sheri D. Benedict.

Surviving are her mother and her other mother, Sharon K. Bishop, both of Pekin; two step brothers, Jeremy (Angie) Bishop of Pekin and Chad (Tammy) Bishop of Mackinaw; grandparents, Pam Reese of Pekin, Diane and Richard Brown of Missouri and Charles D. Vaughn of Pekin; several aunts, uncles and cousins.  Jenifer was also survived by her beloved dog, Beau.

She had been in the 0-3 program at Holiday School and later attended Schramm Educational Center for many years.  A very social person, she loved being with her family and friends. She had a very loving spirit and beautiful smile which drew people to her.  Jenifer also enjoyed music and movies.

Her memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.  The Rev. Terry C. Edele will officiate.  Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.  Burial of cremated remains will be Sunday, October 16, 2011 at 1 p.m. in Brooks Cemetery in rural Stanford, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
