Jerrod L McBride

He was born December 13, 1984 in Peoria to Steven Warren and Denise Elaine (Derick) McBride.

Surviving are his mother of Pekin; one son, Austin McBride of Peoria; four siblings, Brian (Mindy) McBride of Pekin, Christy (Steven) Little of Green Valley, Kelly McBride and Stacy (Charles) Zielsdorf, both of Pekin and eight nieces and nephews, Blake McBride, Mallory McBride, Jake Little, Charles Zielsdorf, Jessica Zielsdorf, Lillith Zielsdorf, Lexi McBride and Maddie Zielsdorf. He also leaves a grandfather, Thomas Derick of Galva.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He had attended Midstate College in Peoria and last worked for FedEx.

Jerrod was devoted to his son and loved him most of all. He also had a great interest in guns and Harley Davidson motorcycles. He was a strong and smart individual who could fix most everything. He was a protector.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin.

A private family celebration of life gathering will be held. Cremation will be accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Austin McBride Education Fund in care of any CEFCU Member Center.
