Jessie "Jess" Erby

She was born October 23, 1944 in Fairland, Oklahoma to Frank and Ina (Patton) Lipsey. She married Charles Ray Erby on December 1, 1962 in New Albany, Indiana. He survives.

Also surviving are three children, Dena (Kevin) Lantz of Washington, Terri (Aaron) Tibbetts of Chapin, S.C., and Spencer (Rebecca) Erby of Mapleton; five grandchildren and five siblings, Kaye Scott, Tommy Lipsey, Joe Lipsey, Linda Ball and Ron Lipsey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Eileen Jones and one sister, Phyllis Bailliez.

Jess was a member of the Glasford United Methodist Church. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed sharing her faith in the Lord, cooking and gardening, and always looked forward to the annual family vacations.

A funeral service will be at the Glasford United Methodist Church, on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at 11:00 am with Rev. Dr. Gregory Coates officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Lancaster Cemetery in Glasford. Davison-Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
