Very sorry for your loss.  I knew Jim well and will never forget his lighthearted personality.  He always had a smile on his face.  Great memories of great times with him and his family.  He will be missed. God Bless.

Mr. Stagg was a hoot whenever I saw him at the library, always armed with a joke and a smile.  I am so glad he got to make it on an Honor Flight, that is wonderful and that he was able to share that experience with local schools.  May he rest in peace.

I have such found memories of Jim.  Bonnie touched on some of them already and just wanted to let you know that Jim had a major impact on my life.  I often say to myself in tough situations, what would Dad and Jim do?  They broke the mold with him!  Jim was a fun, caring, do anything to help, protective, loving father and husband.  He was old school: in the right way, a man's man! My heartfelt condolences for your loss, but so happy you all had so many wonderful years together.  

Corky, Steve and family;  Thinking of you all!  I have so many childhood memories of growing up with your family across the street on Florence.  From cooking class with all of us in chairs in front of the stove, beer was always an ingredient Jim would add, to our Friday night pot lucks and our famous Chinese New Year celebration. Not to mention, Jimmies and mine 8th grade graduation with that funny drink Hop skip and jump run naked or 
something or other. Fun times and Jim was always the ring leader!  He will ne missed! Love to all!

Jim was a truly wonderful man.  He made me feel better every time I saw him.  He was a great story teller who could get me laughing even if I was feeling sorry for myself about something.  I don't think I ever met a man more selfless and also dedicated to his family.  He will be sorely missed by his hundreds, if not thousands, of friends. 

Corky and family, my sincere condolences for your loss. I was a long time American General Finance manager and have many fond memories of laughs and good times with Jim.  When some auditors showed up the staff would freeze for three days. When Jim showed up he relaxed everyone and we all learned how to do things a little better, and a few new jokes as well.  He was one in a million. And oh that laugh.

Just thinking of Jim makes me smile.  He always had a joke.  He and Corky were a sweet couple.  It brings back so fond memories of golf, bridge, cookouts and parties.  How can he be a at a happier place, ?but he is...!!!


My sympathy & prayers go out to Corky & all of Jim’s family.  I also worked at American General & was delighted to see him in recent years at the retiree luncheon.  I’ll always remember his sense of humor & all the stories he would share.  He will be missed but always remembered!

Jim had a one-of-a-kind laugh that brought smiles to many faces. He and Corky were great to be around and do things with. We were all blessed to share life with Jim and he will be missed. The Golfing Group at Sunset called the Dips will miss him.

I’m so sorry for your loss.  I met Jim as a young Manager with AGF.  Jim would pop in my office and alway started with let me tell you a joke or story and he was always smiling.  I learned so much about how to do my job right from his visits. At one time he gave me his phone number and said if you need anything you just call and he was always there when I called. I still tell Jim Stagg stories to my friends today.  He was a great friend.  

Corky, Steve and family, Please accept by sincere condolences on the passing of one of the great ones. He was. Great husband, great father to his two sons, a great grandfather, great friend, great co-worker, and great story and joke teller. I first met Jim when he trained me to be a field auditor, and I had the honor of working with him for many years. Jim always talked about his wife, who I found to be a saint for putting up with Jim’s antics! Jim loved his sons so much, and taught me much About how to love and honor my son. He was so proud of both of his boys, who showed strength and courage in all of their life. And how could I not mention Jim’s ability to communicate through his stories and jokes. Everyone had a great time when in Jim’s presence. His legacy lives on through all he touched with his passion for life!

Jim was the man who was responsible for my professional career. Jim helped me secure a position on the audit staff, trained me and then became my supervisor. I worked for him for 8 years and when he retired, he urged me to apply for his position, which I did. When I retired in 2018, he and Corky came to my retirement dinner. I was so honored he would make the trip and said many kind words. Rest in peace my friend. I can't thank you enough for all you did for me.

So sorry to hear of your loss, Corky.  My thoughts and prayers for you and your family!
