Pekin ~ Joan Carol Rager, 79, of Pekin, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at The Lodge in Manito. She was born on November 10, 1946, in Chicago, a daughter of Walter and Lillian (Kintz) Wolff. Joan married Stephen C. Rager on October 16, 1965, in Chicago. He survives.
She is also survived by her two daughters, Kristen (Toby) Kirgan of Tremont and Sherri (Matt) Rader of Dahinda; four grandchildren, Sienna and Mason Rader, and Kinzie and Kaid Kirgan; one sister, Joyce (John) Thompson of North Branch, Minnesota; one brother, Jim (Marge) Wolff of Tinley Park.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents.
She worked as a secretary for Peoria Tube Forming from 1987 to 2005.
Joan was a member of Pekin First Nazarene Church. She enjoyed macrame and especially loved spending time with her family.
Joan's private graveside service will take place at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory.
