

Born February 14, 1928 in Hartsburg to John and Blanche (McWhorter) Aper, she married Harold L. Butler on October 12, 1947 in Bloomington. He died March 9, 2003 in Decatur. She also was preceded in death by her parents; her step-mother, Goldie Aper; one step-sister-in-law, Evelyn Kutz; one half-brother, Darrell Aper; and one half-sister, Mary Lou Wibben.
Surviving are three half- sisters, Goldie (Jerry) Burlingame of Ipava, Eileen (Ron) Hubbard of Lincoln and Anna Clara (Bud) Weston of Emden; one half-brother, John (Pat) Aper, Jr. of Lincoln; two brothers-in-law, Jim (Charlene) Butler of Hillsboro and Richard (Kathy) Butler of Decatur; one step-brother, Harold Kutz of Elkhart; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She also leaves behind four very special people who loved her like a mother, Debra Shaw of Cherry Valley, Robert (Debra) Fornoff of Pekin, Randall (Lawana) Fornoff of Wheat Ridge, Colorado and David (Dianne) Fornoff of Normal.
Johanna was of the Methodist faith.
She had worked as a teller for Herget Bank and Cefcu for many years.
Her memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Steven M. Rowell will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial of cremated remains will be in Cress Hill Cemetery in Hillsboro at a later date.
