John E Hobbie Jr.

Born September 20, 1945 in Peoria to John Earl and Loretta Pauline (Wright) Hobbie Sr. He married Judith Ann Wilson on October 18, 1963 in Peoria.

Surviving are two daughters, Tammie Mason of East Peoria, Holly (Mike) Peal of East Peoria; six grandchildren, Addison, Ivy, Richard (Megan), Jonathan, Kristina, Jayda; five great-grandchildren, Madison, Mason, Mackenzlee, Lyric, Lyle; one sister, Barbara Eskew of Bartonville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, John Earl Hobbie III, and one brother Roger Hobbie.

He worked in the finance industry for many years with savings, loans, and repossessions.

John enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, collecting, trading antiques, model trains, watching the Chicago Cubs and family dinners. He was known to find enjoyment in anything he was doing. He will be missed by all family and friends who knew him. 

Cremation rites have been accorded.
