It was my honor to get to know Judy during the last four years of her teaching career while I served as the Principal at C.B.Smith Elementary School.  She was a kind and caring teacher who loved her students as if they were her own.  Ie remember during the years I taught science at Edison (next door to C.B. Smith) how Judy Richards and Marge Dille were the mainstays of the kindergarten program at that school.  May God comfort you, Terry and your children and grandchildren in your time of grief.

Dear Family....Judy certainly love all the kindergarten children that she had in her class!  She was always ready with a hug and a smile for them.  I also remember her being very proud of her roses.....she would love to show them off and explain about each one.  Many children who had her for a teacher will miss her, too! My sympathy and prayers are with you!

Hello Terry, I am so sad to read in today's PJS Judy's obituary.  I have known Judy since she taught at CBS School, attended many of the Rose Garden Meetings where she was present, and always looked for her at Plant Bingo.  She will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry to hear of Judy's passing. She was such a sweet, kind-hearted soul. I have many fond memories of her during my time at CB Smith. She and Debbie Vidic took me under their wings my first year of teaching kindergarten, and kept in touch with me after I moved to another school. I will never forget her generosity and sincerity!

So sorry for the passing of Judy. She was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Enjoyed teaching with Judy at C.B. Smith. Her bright smile  welcomed the kindergarten children when I would teach music to her class. Also taught many of her students in my first grade classroom. Sorry to hear of her death. You are in my prayers. 

I had Mrs. Richards for a Kindergarten teacher at C.B. Smith. I still remember after all these years how sweet of a lady she was. She will be missed. 

My children were fortunate to have Mrs. Richards for their kindergarten teacher many years ago. Such a sweet, kind, patient and devoted teacher. We will always carry fond memories of her and the tender loving care she put into each one of her students. You have our deepest sympathy.

Sorry to hear of your family's loss. Judy will always hold a special place in my thoughts and I will never be able to look at a rose again without thinking of her. Terry, you will be in our thoughts and prayers. 

Terry, I don't believe we ever had the privilege of actually meeting Judy, but we sat at the same table with you at the Camping Club Christmas Dinner. We are so deeply sorry to hear of Judy's passing and want you to know you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

I am so very sad and sorry to learn of Judy's passing. I have so many fond memories of Judy and the C.B. Smith teachers. I also remember Judy's love of her roses and the care of these roses. 

I am so sorry to hear of Judys passing. We played
as children quite often. I especially remember
trips to Starved Rock and one when we went with
our parents to Wisconsin. A lot of good memories.

Sending our heartfelt sympathy to the family of Mrs. Richards. She was my son's kindergarten teacher & left fond memories with him that lasted throughout his school years. He had trouble being "separated" from me to start school and she went out of her way to change all of that! My son is now 34 years old and we still remember all she did for him. God Bless! 

Terry and Troy,     So sorry. to hear  of Judy's passing. Much too young.  Judy always was fun to work with . I still have the Rose of Sharon bushes all over my yard.  Your love of roses will always be remember . So sorry  again .
