

Born on February 8, 1928 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, the daughter of Jonathon David and Floy (Shipman) Pulliam, she married Floyd Edward Nelson on August 3, 1946 in Magnolia. He preceded her in death on May 4, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Willam Tweddale; one brother, Jack Pulliam and one son-in-law, Larry Webster.
She is survived by two daughters, Marjorie Kay Webster of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Boyce Kathleen (Rick) Whitley of Pekin; one son, Danny Charles (Pamela) Nelson of Pekin; one sister, Earlene (Bob) Jeffery of Lacon; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Katherine graduated from the Varna High School Class of 1948, where she was one of 13 students. She worked for Sandrock Autobody in North Pekin as a Bookkeeper, retiring after 23 years in 1990. She was a longtime member of the First Missionary Church of North Pekin. Katherine loved camping with her husband, going out to eat, especially Chinese food at Fast Dragon, spending time with family and friends, applesauce, her church family and her number one favorite was her coffee.
Her funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday July 19, 2025 at the First Missionary Church in North Pekin. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Pastor Andrew Springman will officiate. Burial will follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
