

PEKIN ~ Kathryn Marie Howard, 89, of Pekin, passed away at 6:35 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2020 at her home. Born June 28, 1931 in Bartonville, she was the daughter of James Treasure and Alvina Marie (Mau) Pribble. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Jerry Pribble and Jack Pribble.
Surviving are four daughters, Janice Michael of Mims, Florida, Nancy (Larry) Nichols, Dianna M. Howard and Karen Woiwode, all of Pekin; three sons, Gerald Bryan of Delray Beach, Florida, Randy Howard and Michael (Vikki) Howard, both of Pekin; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; two half-brothers; one half-sister; two stepsisters and many neices and nephews.
She was a bartender and cook for many years at Seven Acres in Tremont, 801 Club in Bartonville, Woody’s in Pekin and at the Moose Lodge, where she was a life member of the Women of the Moose. She last worked as a cook for her daughter, Dianna, at Sparky’s in Peoria. Kathy worked at Fleming & Potter in Peoria in earlier years.
Kathy loved her kids and they were her life. She also was a pet lover, liked fishing and was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
She was a member of the Rock Church in Spring Bay and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Pekin.
Her private graveside service will be Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin. Pastor Chuck Tate will officiate. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
There will be a celebration of life gathering held at the Pekin Moose Lodge at a later date.
