Born May 29, 1959 in Pekin, she was the daughter of Kenneth Frank and Kathleen Marie (Buerkett) Golan.
Surviving are her mother of Pekin; one daughter, Julianne Golan of Pekin; one sister, Kay (Darrell) Graves of Pekin; one nephew, Ryan (Alyssa) Graves of Peoria and two nieces, Kristin Graves of Madison, Wisconsin and Kaitlin Graves of St. Louis, Missouri.
Her father preceded her in death.
She was a 1977 graduate of Pekin Community High School and a 1981 graduate of Illinois State University in Normal with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interior Design.
Kim had a long career as an interior designer for CEFCU. She previously worked as an interior designer for Lincoln Office.
She had a steadfast love for her daughter and was a devoted single parent. She also had a great love for art and truly enjoyed painting. Kim also adored her animals.
A private family celebration will be held in Kim’s honor. Cremation will be accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
