

Born August 26, 1961 in Fairfax County, VA to William and Marlene (Graham) Baker, she married Wesley Williams on October 6, 1984 in Green Valley. He survives.
Also surviving are her parents of Pekin; two daughters, Stephanie (Dan) Smith of Pekin and Shelby Williams of Pekin; one grandchild, Jacob Smith of Pekin and one sister, Kathi (Troy) Thomas of Pekin.
She was a 1979 graduate of Pekin Community High School. She later went on to attain her Bachelor’s Degree in 1999 from Bradley University and completed Colloquy at Concordia University, River Forest, IL.
Kim had been a loving and devoted teacher at Good Shepherd Lutheran School in Pekin, last teaching April 10, 2015. She will be greatly missed by the staff and many of the students whose lives she had touched at GSLS.
She was a lifelong member of St. John’s (Sand Prairie) Lutheran Church in rural Green Valley, where she had been Sunday School Superintendent and a Sunday School teacher.
Kim loved her family and had an unending faith. She was an avid Illini and Chicago Cubs fan, loved mentoring children and going to Disney World. She was said to have “loved the playfulness of Mickey Mouse and was an optimistic Illini and Cubs fan.”
Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at St. John’s (Sand Prairie) Lutheran Church in rural Green Valley. Pastor Kevin Bueltmann, Pastor Chris Sansom and DCE William Krueger will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Additional visitation will be from noon to 12:45 p.m. Wednesday at her church. Burial will be at Sand Prairie Cemetery in rural Green Valley.
