Larry Chiartano

Larry was born July 4, 1954 in Peoria to Frank and Dorothy (Trapper) Chiartano.

Surviving are six children, including his twins, Jamie Grindel and Amy Grindel, both of Galesburg, Nicki Frazier of Washington, Jessica Weishaupt of Mackinaw, Josh Chiartano and Patrisha Chiartano, both of Pekin; three grandsons, Tyler of Mackinaw, Lane of Washington, Conner of Pekin; two brothers and two sisters, Steve Chiartano of Bellvue, Kris (Bill) Ogle of West Peoria, Charles Chiartano of Peoria and Theresa Hermacinski of East Peoria.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister Denise and one brother Danny.

Larry was a passionate fisherman and animal lover who also enjoyed mushroom hunting, camping and gardening.  He also enjoyed catering, cooking, grilling out with his friends.  Most of all, Larry enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He worked as a roofer in the construction trade.  Larry also worked at The Creve Coeur Club until it's closing.

Cremation has been accorded.  There will be no visitation or services.

Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin is in charge of arrangements.
