Larry retired from R.A. Cullinan & Son, where he was a heavy equipment operator for 25 years. He also owned Lohnes Automotive for many years and passed it on to his son, Shane. He enjoyed being at the shop daily, working alongside his son, Shane and his grandson, Austin and visiting with many friends who stopped by.
He was very passionate about his family, friends and his work. He was always willing to stop whatever he was doing to help anyone in need. Everyone knew that if they couldn’t find Larry at the shop, you could probably find him at the farm riding his Kabota keeping his property in tip-top shape. He was known as “Larry Mow it All!” Friends and family are going to miss the big “Larry” smile that always lit up the room.
His memorial visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. A gathering celebrating Larry's life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Compassus Hospice, 7210 Villa Lake Drive, Peoria, Illinois 61614.
