He was born July 28, 1951 in Pekin to Rev. Roscoe Eugene and Mamie O. (Luter) Luke. His parents preceded him in death.
Surviving are one daughter, Katrina (Kenny) Wilkins of Piedmont, Missouri; two sons, Brandon Luke and Jeremey (Jessica) Luke, both of Piedmont; ten grandchildren; one brother, Robert C. (Judy) Luke of East Peoria and one sister, Viola J. "Vi" (Jerry) Smith of Newport Richey, Florida. He also leaves his longtime companion, Veronica L. Lemons of Pekin.
Larry enjoyed fishing. He also enjoyed carpentry and mechanical work.
His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, June1, 2006at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Danny Mercer will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Spring Bay Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
