Lenora A Bush

Born October 28, 1913 in Canton to Guy and Pearl (Rakestraw) Haughawout, she married Melvin John Bush on January 21, 1934 in Pekin. He died on March 16, 1996 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by 1 granddaughter; 1 sister; 1 brother; 1 daughter-in-law and 2 sons-in-law.

Surviving are 1 daughter, Carol (Leonard) Breedlove of East Peoria; 2 sons, Larry L. Bush of Pekin and Gary M. (Kathy) Bush of Burson, California; 22 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren and 3 sisters, Virginia Sepich of St. David, Betty Davis of Canton and Shirley (Fred) Mulligan of Canton.

Lenora worked as a secretary in the Tazewell County Adult Probation Office for 15 years, retiring in 1974.

She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Pekin. She also was a Pekin Hospital volunteer. Lenora enjoyed reading, traveling and working crossword puzzles.

Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 10, 2006at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Dwight E. Borden will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m.Thursday, March 9, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
