

Born June 1, 1963 in Streator to Bruce F. and Janice (Williams) Hart, she married Van H. Friederich on May 6, 1989 at Funks Grove. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Tristan (Julianna Hotmire) Friederich of Columbus, Ohio and Luka Friederich of Goodfield; two brothers, Todd (Shannon) Hart of Bloomington and Allan (Kim) Hart of Morton; her nieces and nephews, Steven (Jenna) Hart, Jennifer (Stephanie Vukotic) Hart, Justin Hart, Allayna Hart, Kristie (Craig) McDougal, Valerie (Shawn) Boren, Vanna (Cole) Jones, Jill (Brandon) Graves, Amanda (Shawn) King-Opper and Zac (Timmy) Friederich; many great nieces and nephews and two brothers-in-law, Vincent (Kathie) Friederich of Choctaw, Oklahoma and Victor (Robin) Friederich of Eureka.
Her parents preceded her in death.
A graduate of Streator Township High School, Leslie was a graduate of Illinois State University. Before transitioning to raising her family, Leslie worked for Champion Federal in Bloomington/Normal and in the travel industry.
Leslie was focused on family and friends. She enjoyed nature and especially time spent at the lake. She also enjoyed art and photography.
She also was a member of Crossroads Area Homeschool Association. Leslie taught science classes for CASA and served within its administration.
Leslie’s most recent efforts was helping to raise funds for the ParkLands Foundation in memory of her uncle, Craig Hart.
She attended Redeemer Community Church in Minonk.
Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 20, 2024 at Park Presbyterian Church in Streator. Pastor Caleb Suydam and Pastor Erik Johnson will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Davis Lodge at Lake Bloomington, 25449 Davis Lodge Road in Hudson. Further visitation will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Streator. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
