Lillian Earnest

Born July 20, 1926 in Tovey to August and Angelina (Boccadutre) DuPage, she married Walter Earnest on January 29, 1949 in Pekin. He survives.

Also surviving are one son, Kirby (Yvette) Earnest of Pekin; two daughters, Vickie (Tom) Grider of Moss Point, Mississippi and Sandra (Leon) Miller of Pekin; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one brother, Daniel (Sandy) DuPage of Pekin and two sisters, Elizabeth (George) Johnson of Pekin and Joan (Brad) Brubaker of Canton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Caleb Earnest and two brothers, John DuPage and Louie DuPage.

A homemaker, Lillian was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Pekin, where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She enjoyed listening to gospel music, reading and shopping trips followed with dinner out.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Thomas Grider, her son-in-law, will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
