Lisa (Tjarks) Davis

Born April 9, 1969 in Pekin, she was a daughter of Robert Burl and Carol Ann (Buck) Tjarks. Her parents preceded her in death.

Surviving are two daughters, Braelynn Davis of Pekin and Madalynn Turney of Canton; two grandchildren that she adopted as her own, Cannon Davis and Gianna Davis; two sisters, Lanae Dickson of Pekin and Lynda (Lisa) Tjarks of Orlando, Florida and one brother, Robert (Danielle) Tjarks of Glasford. She also leaves her companion and life partner of more than 30 years, Allan Turney, with whom she made her home, and his children, Jessica Cavitt of Vandalia and Gavin Turney of Pekin and his grandchildren, Kooper, Kaybree and Caid.

Lisa was a 1987 graduate of Pekin Community High School.

She worked as a manager in the hotel industry for more than 25 years with Jumer’s Castle Lodge, Embassy Suites in East Peoria and Mark Twain Hotel before shifting in 2020 to working as the executive director of Charter Assisted Living in Pekin, last working in October 2024.

Lisa loved the outdoors and enjoyed reading and crafting. She always put family first and was the one in the family that always organized the gathering at the holidays.

A gathering celebrating Lisa's life will be held at a later date. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
