

Born February 15, 1929 in Elm Grove Township, rural Tazewell County to Elmer George and Ricka (Aupperle) Lay, she married Clarence Frederick Bohm on April 8, 1950 in Tremont. He died March 20, 1976 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving are three daughters, Dianne K. (Gary) Sakes of Mapleton, Janice L. Bohm of Pekin, and Brenda L. (Dennis) Delahunt of Bloomington; one son, Gary S. Bohm of Morton; eight grandchildren, Mark A. (Regina) Newlun of San Jose, Erica L. (Bradley) Bolton of Trivoli, Miles A. Bohm and Zachary S. Bohm, both of Peoria, Rachel C. (Joe) Bierbaum of Heyworth, Brigette N. Bohm of Pekin, and Seth N. Delahunt and Hannah E. Delahunt, both of Normal; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Howard (Lilah) Lay of Aurora, Colorado.
Lois worked as a secretary for Monge Property Management Company in Pekin for many years, retiring in 1994.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Pekin, and it's Maranatha Class for 41 years.
Lois enjoyed reading, being a homemaker, and doing puzzle books.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. Pastor Mark Friday will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
