Marian Jones

Born May 15,1921 in Anna to Grover and Addie (Wubeker) Simmerman, she married William D. Jones, Sr..Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Linda Jones of Pekin; two grandchildren, Rashel "Shelly" (Brian) Camden of Green Valley and David L. Jones of Pekin; and three great-grandchildren, Ashley Camden, Emily Camden and Dalton Jones.

Pat was preceded in death by one son, William D. Jones, Jr. on April 3, 2007; three brothers; and two sisters.

A graduate of Graham Hospital School of Nursing in Canton, she worked as a registered nurse for 47 years. Pat was a private duty nurse for many years and later retired from Methodist Medical Center in 1986 after 24 years. She was a former board member of the Illinois Private Duty Nursing Association.

She attended church services at the U.A.W. Senior Citizens Center in Pekin.

Pat enjoyed hunting and golfing and was a former member of the Canton Country Club.

Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday,January 8, 2008at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, where visitation will be one hour before the funeral. TheRev. Jerry Rupp will officiate.Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Canton.
