Marian Louise Williams

Born July 3, 1926, in rural Pekin to Walter L. and Elsie M. (Hundt) Gearen, she married Fred L. Williams in Pekin on February 2, 1947. He died April 22, 1993.

Surviving are their two sons, Dale L. Williams and Gary Williams, both of Pekin; three grandchildren, Brian Williams and Rosan Williams, both of Pekin, and Rachel (John) Thompson of Maine and two great-grandchildren, Maverick and Landon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother, Russell Gearen.

Marian had worked in the office of Methodist Medical Center for 20 years, retiring in March of 1988.

She loved to play cards, sew, read, and crochet. Marian and Dale would fish together, even if he caught more fish than her.

A graveside service will be held at 10:0 a.m. on Monday, March 30, 2026, at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin. Pastor John Vaughn will officiate. Arrangements have been entrusted with Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
