PEKIN~ Marilyn L. Boyd, 87, of Pekin, formerly of Galva, passed away at 3:10 p.m. Saturday, January 27, 2007 at Pekin Hospital.Born March 13, 1919 in Moline to Samuel F. and Deliliah (Stribling) Willard, she married Ronald G. Boyd on September 26, 1934 in Davenport, Iowa. He preceded her in death.She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, five sisters, and one daughter, Doris Nordstrom. Surviving are two daughters, Lorna Wren of Terre Haute, Indiana and Loretta Coziahr of Pekin;one sister, Wynona Forsberg of Moline, twelve grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren.Marilynwas a homemaker and enjoyed flower gardening and playing bingo.Her funeralwill beat 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2007at the Rux Funeral Home in Galva, where visitation will be one hour before the funeral. The Rev. Paul Sowden will officiate.Burial will be in Galva Cemetery.Memorial contributionsmay be madeto the Harbor Light Hospice.Local arrangements have been entrusted to the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
