

Born October 31, 1941 in Peoria to Robert and Viola (Hittle) Johnson, she married David Paul Turner on July 16, 1976 in Pekin. He passed away on May 17, 2016 in Peoria. She also was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Carl Johnson.
Surviving are her mother, Viola Bader of Pekin; five sons, Edmond P. “Eddie” Nischwitz, Philip (Angie) Nischwitz, Mark A. (Tara) Turner, Michael J. Turner, all of Pekin and Robert M. (Rebecca) Turner of Wapello, IA; three daughters, Crystal D. Savka, Angie M. (Mark Reynolds) Ortiz, both of Pekin and Paula Plowman Kestner of Las Vegas, NV; two step-sons, David P. Turner, Jr. of Pekin and Brian K. (Moriah) Turner of Mapleton; twenty-five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one brother, Steve (Tanya) Haynes of Pekin.
Marilyn had worked as a longtime caregiver, last working for Help at Home.
She loved playing, singing and listening to music. She and her husband formerly enjoyed dancing and fishing.
A celebration of life will be held at noon on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at the family’s home. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Private inurnment will be in Dillon Cemetery.
