Marjorie Schoedel

Marjorie was born March 21, 1934 in Harrisburg, the daughter of Roy and Edna (Mayfield) Leonard.  She married Donald Schoedel in 1959 and was happily married for 56 years.  

Surviving are her husband, Donald, of Pekin; one son, Michael (Denise) Schoedel of Crystal Lake; two grandchildren, Skylar and Hunter Schoedel, both of Crystal Lake; and two sisters, Bertha Murray of Northbrook and Mary Lou Albrecht of Pekin.  She also leaves many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Delores Tinney.

Marjorie worked at Herget Bank, Standard Brands and managed the family's television repair business.  She was active in the PTA association at Jefferson Elementary School and enjoyed playing cards, fishing and traveling.  

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pekin.

Her memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.  Rev. Daniel Bishop will officiate.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.  Burial of cremated remains will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
