

He was born July 2, 1935 in Peoria to Herbert Webb and Eloise (Jones) Swisher. Mark married Patricia A. Weaver on September 21, 1957 in Pekin. She preceded Marvin in death on November 4, 2010 in Pekin. He was also preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, Leo Swisher; two infant children, April Denice and Mark Anthony Webb; and siblings, Marita Goss, Ivor Webb, and Donna Wolfe.
Surviving are one daughter, Connie (Kirk) Cranwill of Pekin; one grandson, Justin (Whitney) Boundy of Winona, Minnesota; four great-grandchildren, Scott Boundy, and Aviana, Alaric, and Jaden Niemi, all of Winona, Minnesota; two sisters, Penny (Ed) Graber of Farmington and Diane (Ronald) Ritchason of Pekin; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Abby.
Mark served his country proudly in the United States Army.
He worked for nearly 20 years at Corn Products in the sugar house. He then was the sole proprietor of 8th Street Trading Post and Coin Shop.
Mark was the third member of the Tazewell Numismatic Society and also belonged to the Pekin Moose Family Center #916. Mark was an avid bowler, belonging to several leagues and often enjoying the sport with family and friends. He also attended family game nights each Friday and greatly enjoyed fishing and hunting with his step-dad.
His funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Chris Sansom will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2024, also at the funeral home. Burial be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Military rites will be provided by the United States Army and the Tazewell Area Ceremonial Team.
