

Noel, as she was called, was born in Peoria on December 16, 1940 to Bob and Alex Iber. She married Phillip E. Cline on September 2, 1961. Phillip survives her.
She also is survived by a son, Scott (Sally) Cline, of Overland Park, KS, a daughter Amy (Ed) Davies, of New Brighton, MN, a son Alex (Nicole) Cline, of Seattle, WA, and a son, Paul Cline of Madison, TN; eight grandchildren: Hayley, Curtis, Calvin, Elizabeth, James, Lindsey, Hannah, and Isaac. Kelly, mother of James and Lindsey; Maria, partner of Paul.
Noel was preceded in death by her parents.
She graduated from the University of Iowa, College of Nursing. Noel and Phil raised their family in Iowa City, IA. They also lived in Nevada, IA, Dodgeville, WI, and Kodiak, AK. They enjoyed experiencing these communities.
Noel dearly loved her husband, who was also her best friend. Their children, spouses and grandchildren were precious to her and gave her great joy. Her sister and brother, as well as Phil’s sisters, were special to her.
Noel’s faith grew and became the touchstone of her life. Her church and her involvement at the South Side Mission were very important to her. She also was happy when working in the garden and spending time with family and friends at Fish Hook Lake, MN.
Her memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016 at First United Methodist Church in Peoria. The Rev. Dr. Robert Phillips will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Cremation rites will be accorded. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.
