

Born December 9, 1935 in Peoria, she was a daughter of Anton and Josephine (Maston) Cochran. She married Donald Wagonmaker on August 25, 1956 in Pekin. He died on March 21, 1999 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary Jo (Patrick) Gleason of Bloomington and Christy (Charles) McKay of Pekin; two grandsons, Cory (Alisa) Waller of Pekin and Jeffery (Angela) Nelson of Clinton; one granddaughter, Courtney (Ryan) Sheppard of East Peoria; three great-grandchildren, Cameron Waller, Audrey Waller and Alexandra Nelson; three brothers, David (Bernie) Cochran of Pekin, Tony (Jane) Cochran of Jacksonville, FL and Fred (Catherine) Kelly of Chillicothe and two sisters, Eleanor Funk of Peoria and Sharon Cochran of Pekin.
Mary was a longtime employee of American Distilling in Pekin and also worked for Pekin Hospital. She last worked for Sam’s Club in Peoria in 2009.
Mary was a family centered person and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing cards and traveling, most recently to Florida with her family.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pekin and a member of Pekin Woman of the Moose Chapter 673.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 21, 2014 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
