Mason William Brown

He was born October 30, 1991 in Pekin to Kevin S. and Debra L. (Myers) Brown.

Surviving are his mother Debra (Charles) Swanson of Pekin; his father, Kevin (Michelle) Brown of North Pekin; four siblings, Emily Brown of Chicago, Morgan VanCleave of St. Louis, Missouri, Kate (Billy) Phipps of Conway, South Carolina and Stephanie (Todd) Breitbarth of East Peoria; one brother, Paul Swanson of Pekin; maternal grandmother, Lynn Gleason of Pekin; maternal grandfather, David Myers of Bradenton, Florida; one uncle, Doug Brown of Glendale, Arizona and his girlfriend, Samantha Galyean and her daughter, Renee.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Linda Brown; step-grandmother, Shirley Myers and one aunt, Lori Brown.

Mason worked as a HVAC Technician for Meyer Climate Control.

A jokester, Mason enjoyed fishing, tubing, golfing and playing disc golf. He will be best remembered for kindness and having the best heart. Mason’s greatest love was his family.

Mason attended Pekin First Church of the Nazarene.

His memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2021 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Rev. Judy Steger-Kennedy will officiate. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Guidelines regarding social distancing and wearing of mask will be followed.
