

Born to William and Velma Hedgepath Anderson on August 11, 1951 in Mt. Vernon, she married the love of her life, Richard (Beetle) Bailey on April 22, 1988. She was blessed with three children, Tammy, Angie and Barry.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, James and Robert Anderson and one sister, Pauletta Anderson Basinger. She was also preceded in death by her in-laws, Fred and Leta Bailey.
Surviving are her husband, Richard of Pekin; her children, Tammy Buskirk Lane of Bartonville, Angela (Anthony) Swiger of North Pekin and Barry (Ashleigh) Lane of East Peoria. six grandchildren, Kayla (Tanner Cravens) Buskirk, Steven Buskirk, Samantha (Luke) Sandford, Kamron Buskirk, Kaleb and Aaron Lane; one great-grandson, Kashton Sandford, two brothers, Charles (Linette) Anderson of Washington and David (Bonnie) Anderson of East Peoria and many nieces and nephews.
Nancy was a 1969 graduate of Manual High School. She had worked for 38 years at Chicago Title Company retiring in 2011.
Rich and Nancy were members of the Pekin Boat Club for 26 years and the Peoria Boat Club for 17 years and loved spending time with their family and friends on the water. They enjoyed taking trips on their boat, “Little Ione” to Mackinaw Island, Michigan and down the Mississippi River. They have been spending their winters in Lake Wales, Florida at Saddlebag Ranch since 2005. Nancy started the club “Woodruff Warriors” for all those that fought and lost their battle to cancer and to celebrate those who survived. Rich and Nancy loved taking golf cart rides, spending time at the pool and attending happy hour with some of the best friends they could ask for. Nancy was a die- hard Chicago Cubs fan and loved yelling at her favorite players, whether they made a great play or a bad play!
Nancy’s most cherished memories were made with her husband, kids and grandkids, whom she loved unconditionally.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Doug Seeley will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded following the service.
