Nellie Lee Halverson

Nellie Lee Halverson, 84, of Morton, Illinois passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born May 15, 1934 in Alabama to Bennie and Minnie (Brown) Fore. She married Ronald Halverson. He preceded her in death on April 30, 2013. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, one whom was her twin, and three brothers.

Surviving are her children: Rick (Vickie) Jaquess of Washington, Illinois, Vicky (Mike) Stewart of Douglas, Wyoming, Tony (Kerry) Jaquess of Douglas, Wyoming; grandchildren: Ange (Craig) Rasmussen of Prattville, Alabama, Katie (Mike) Lane of Washington, Illinois, Kenny (Jacqueline) Bowen of Douglas, Wyoming; great-grandchildren: Zac Rasmussen, Colton Lane, Braylyn Lane, Zaiden Rasmussen, Mason Bowen; and three brothers.

Nellie worked as a Sales Associate for Cohen Furniture Store and other stores for 20 years. She loved to quilt, and was an avid gardener.

Burial will be at 11:00 am Monday, October 1, 2018 at Lancaster Cemetery, Glasford, Illinois.
