Born November 13, 1938 in Peoria to Percy and Pearl Byrd, she married Ronald Baxter on June 30, 1957 in Creve Coeur. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Gregory (Barbara) Baxter of Washington and Donald (Tracy) Baxter of Pekin; two grandchildren, Haley Baxter and Logan Baxter, both of Pekin; five sisters, Doris, Delores, Donna, Lois and Barb; and two brothers, Larry and Terry.
A homemaker, Norma enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and she loved animals.
Cremation rites will be accorded. Private family services will be held at a later date. Preston-Hanley Funeral Home,Creve CoeurChapel is in charge of arrangements.
