Norma J Beck

Born March 16, 1939 in Humboldt, Iowa to Clifford and Marie (Anderson) Terwilliger, she married James L. Beck on June 2, 1958 in Humboldt, Iowa. He survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Veronica (James) Booth, Lynnette Beck, and Angelina (William) Boyles, all of East Peoria; two sons, Michael Beck of Creve Coeur and Timothy (Charlotte) Beck of Washington; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four brothers, Leon Terwilliger of Washington state, and Duane (Sharon) Terwilliger, and“Shot” (Shirley) Terwilliger, and Bernard Terwilliger, all of Iowa; and two sisters, Joyce (Joe) Wagner and Julie Anderson, both of Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, William Beck; and seven brothers and sisters.

Norma worked as a bus monitor and playground supervisor for Creve Coeur School District #76. Previously, she was a nurse’s aide in Iowa.

She was a member of the Philadelphia Church of God and attended their congregation in Galesburg.

Norma enjoyed sewing and working in her yard. Her family was very important to her.

Her memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur with Eric Anderson officiating. There will be no visitation.
