

Born April 8, 1928 in Lovilla, Iowa to Claude Edward and Vera Leota (Bolton) Williams, she married Robert Dale Funderburk on November 15, 1947 in Des Moines, Iowa. He died May 4, 1990 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Paul Alan Funderburk on August 10, 1978 in Peoria.
Surviving are two sons, Jack (Carol) Funderburk of Bettendorf, Iowa and Gary (Donna) Funderburk of Pekin; one daughter, Terry (David) Wrigley of Pekin; seven grandchildren, Chad (Natasha) Funderburk of Bettendorf, Kelly (James) McNeil of Nevada, Jamie (Zachary) O’Brien, Katelyn (Greg) Halko, both of Madison, Wisconsin, Ashley Funderburk of Peoria, Ryan (Jennifer) Wrigley and Eric (Brittany) Wrigley, both of Pekin and eight great-grandchildren.
A homemaker and mother first, Norma loved her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren.
Norma and her husband moved to Pekin from Iowa in 1972. She worked as a legal secretary for Attorney Robert C. Clevenger from 1973 to 1979 and then for First National Bank of Pekin as an Executive Secretary. She continued on with Amcore Bank and then Commerce Bank. She was a past member of the Tazewell Legal Secretaries Association.
She was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Pekin, where she served the church as a member of the Altar Guild and assisted with Vacation Bible School. Norma also served her community as the appointed recording secretary for the Pekin Community High School District 303 Board of Education.
Private arrangements are pending with burial in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin is assisting the family with arrangements.
