

She was born on October 12, 1941, in Rushville, the only daughter of Harold and Gussie Peacock. Pansy married Lloyd Guthrie on August 16, 1958. He preceded her in death in May 2003. Pansy and Lloyd had four children, Cindy Lee, who died shortly after birth, Kelly, Brian, and Greg. Pansy later married Jack L. Beckman on November 26, 1988. Jack preceded her in death on December 20, 2020.
Pansy was also preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Cindy; and brothers, Bradley and Jim Peacock.
She leaves behind her daughter, Kelly Guthrie-Hecker (John Hecker) of Huntley; two sons, Brian (Sharon) Guthrie of Phoenix, Arizona, and Greg (Katie) Guthrie of Kenosha, Wisconsin; brother, Vern (Kathy) Peacock of Rushville; two stepchildren, Tim (Debra) Beckman and Todd (Kate) Beckman, both of Bartonville; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Pansy retired from Superior (SC2) after 17 years and then worked part-time for Limestone Township for 10 years.
She loved music and played in a band for several years with her family known as the Peacock Family. Pansy also had many pets during her lifetime and one in particular, Sugar, gave her years of love and devotion. She loved to travel. Many fun years were spent camping with her family. Pansy loved to read and enjoyed many science fiction novels, going to science fiction movies, or any good action-packed movie. Monday morning breakfast with family was something she looked forward to every week and Tuesday breakfast once a month with Barb, Bonnie, and Judy.
Pansy attended Faith Missionary Church in Bartonville for several years and became a born-again Christian later in life. Pastor Craig Hislope will preside over the graveside service.
