Born July 6, 1952 in Peoria to Ray and Thelma (Quigley) King, she married Ron Howard. They later divorced. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Penney Howard and one sister, Kathy King.
Surviving are one daughter, Keri (Jesse) Cleaver of Peoria; one grandson, Fisher Cleaver; one brother, Scott (Starr) King of Pekin and two nephews.
Elaine had worked at Caterpillar, Inc., retiring after 30 years.
She loved animals, especially her cat, Kiki, who she adopted from the Pets for Seniors Shelter in Peoria. She also enjoyed shopping.
Her memorial visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be no services.
Inurnment will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin at a later date.
