

Born March 25, 1937 in Virginia, Illinois, she was a daughter of Clyde and Roberta (Keltner) McDowell. Her parents preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by one son, Neal Riek and one granddaughter, Amanda Riek.
Surviving are one daughter, Debbie (Don) Hild of Pekin; one son, Kyle (Louann) Riek of Ft. Myers, Florida; five grandchildren, Linsay (J.P.) Swigart of Villa Grove, Illinois, Lee (Jessica) Riek of Stuart, Florida, Ashley (Shane) Flannery of Locust Grove, Virginia, Olivia Riek of Bartonville, and Shelby Hild of Creve Coeur, Missouri; nine great-grandchildren, Miles Swigart, Julie Swigart, Jordan Flannery, Trevor Riek, Raeleen Flannery, Hunter Riek, Eislee Graham, Carlos Oritz, Liliana Gonzales; one sister, Fay McDowell of Spring Lake; one nephew, Graham (Amy) Watson; one niece, Abby Pittman and four great nieces and nephews, Summer, Issac, Garrett and Jacob.
Pat retired in 1998 from Sprint with 29 years of service in the business office and as a storeroom clerk. In retirement, Pat also worked at Steger’s Furniture in Pekin for many years.
She loved spending time with her family, traveling to Florida and reading. She also enjoyed playing games on her tablet, watching the Game Show Network on TV, playing cards, doing word searches, and gambling.
Her memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin.
