

Born October 5, 1943 in Qulin, Missouri to Ruford and Ina (Puckett) Cross, he married Maria Martinez on April 11, 1964 in Seville, Spain. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Paul Cross, Jr. of Taylors, South Carolina; one daughter, Ina Burnside of Pekin; two grandsons, Ryan (Jess) Cross of Pekin and Garrett Cross of Peoria; one brother, Ronnie (Joni) Cross of North Carolina; and three sisters, Connie (Bill) Wagner of Washington, Betty (Carl) Minehart of Broseley, Missouri, and Kathy (Ray) Lee of Republic, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Johnny Cross and Ruford Cross, Jr.; and one infant sister, Judy Cross.
He was a United States Navy veteran.
Paul was the President, CEO, and founder of ANBC (Annuity National Brokerage Company) in Pekin, the Annuity Sales Academy, and Senior Money News and Views. He authored numerous books, newspaper columns, and newsletters on financial matters, retirement income planning, and estate planning. He was the radio talk show host for Senior Money News & Views, TV Financial Tips, and led successful client development seminars all across America. A successful career span of more than 40 years training and mentoring agents in annuity sales and a personal producer of multi-million dollars in annuity sales with a financial strategy of helping people in retirement enjoy more income, more growth, and less tax. Paul developed Gingoteague Estates in Pekin.
He attended Pekin Lighthouse Church of God.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. Steve Colyer will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Woodrow Cemetery in rural Pekin, where military rites will be accorded.
