Born October 26, 1920 in Pekin to John H. and Lillie (Stoetzer) Drockelman, she married Edward Hieser on October 12, 1938 in Pekin. He died in 1997.
She was also preceded in death by 1 daughter, Carol Lohrenz and one sister, Roberta Artusi.
Also surviving are two sons, Edward (Judy) Hieser and Michael Hieser, both of Pekin; one daughter, Janet Tennell of Pekin; twelve grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren and one brother, Sylvester Drockelman of Pekin.
Pearl was a homemaker.
She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing board games, especially Aggravation.
Pearl was a member of Bethel Mennonite Church in rural Pekin.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2008at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev.Dwight E. Borden will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2008at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
