

Born November 11, 1950 to Benjamin “Hank” Franklin and Mary Virginia (Oakley) Poe, she married Thomas Spracklen where they later divorced.
Surviving are her three children, Chawn (Tracy) Spracklen of Mapleton, Darla (Ben) Smith of East Peoria and Teresa Spracklen of South Pekin; four grandchildren, Darek Blasdel, Tommy Smith, Wyatt Neidig and Lilli Ballard and three siblings, Mary Beth Shoemaker, Michael “Mickie” (Linda) Poe and Teddy Knox.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one granddaughter, Emily Smith; five siblings, Marie (Cecil) Sparling, Kay (George) Goodman, Pat (Joe) Thomson, Marilyn (Frank) Feldhake and Bonita Kulman; and one brother in law, Henry Knox.
Peggy had operated a feed store in South Pekin with her husband for several years. She also worked at the Normandy Club in Pekin, Lucky Two in California, and owned and operated the Brass Key Lounge in East Peoria. Peggy last worked at Walmart in Pekin for 13 years, retiring in 2016.
She enjoyed crafting, including crochet and diamond art. Spending time with her family, especially her grandkids, brought Peggy joy.
Inurnment will take place at Prairie Haven cemetery in Pekin at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted with Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be no services.
