

Born May 4, 1929 in Pekin to Phillip Musser and Anna (Ammens) Wiker, she married Everett Wayne “Leo” Miller on January 18, 1947 in Pekin. He survives.
Also surviving are five children, Brenda (Robert) Rubenacker of Auburn, Ken (Debbie) Miller of Morton, Kathy (Bobby) Mans of Pekin, Vicky (Darrell) Byrd of Manito, and Ricky (Helen) Miller of Jacksonville, NC; twelve grandchildren; and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and two sisters.
Phyllis had worked for the Bemis Bag Company in Peoria. She later was a bus driver for Pekin and Delavan School Districts and also drove the lunch van for Pekin Schools.
Phyllis enjoyed bowling, fishing, and playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. For many years, Phyllis and Everett made rag rugs on looms and sold them at the Spoon River Drive and Pekin Marigold Festival Art in the Park.
She was a very loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be missed dearly by all of her family and friends.
Her memorial visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield.
