Born July 31, 1932, in Peoria to Everett Edward and Gwen Vergene (Sprinkle) Watts, she married Robert Lee Mustain on February 28, 1953, in Peoria. He died June 20, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two grandchildren.
Surviving are two daughters, Vicki Lee (Don) Tassert of Pekin and Patricia Ann (Van) Johnson of Mapleton; two sons, Bobby Joe (Teresa) Mustain of East Peoria and Rex Eugene (Sherry) Mustain of Marquette Heights; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and one brother, Everette Vergene Watts of Salem.
Phyllis was a homemaker and loved taking care of her family.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed studying the Bible.
Phyllis was a member of First Baptist Church in Marquette Heights.
There are no scheduled services at this time. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
